The rental market varies by city. In Limassol rents are highest and good properties go fast; in Paphos and Larnaca the situation is more relaxed and cheaper. Many flats are offered furnished or partly furnished, which eases the move.
A deposit (often one to two months' rent) and written rental contracts are usual. The rental contract also serves as proof of address for the Yellow Slip and authorities.
